ABOUT GIANNI GIACOMELLI

I focus on reimagining work through AI - organizations, services, and processes, together with perhaps the most critical element: people’s abilities. Building on a successful career including C-level positions in large, stockmarket-listed firms in tech and professional services, and collaboration with world-leading academics. From innovation to operations, from the front to the back office, through an approach derived from our MIT work on Collective Intelligence - as an organizational design principle, augmented by AI and other digital technologies. What’s new? The principled and deliberate integration of traditionally fragmented disciplines such as innovation management, training platforms, collaboration technologies and methods, knowledge management, and related design of work, including its processes - all of which are facilitated by an ever more effective use of AI, with Generative AI now leading the charge. The result has been the building and scaling of world-first innovations, such as Genpact’s Genome, considered by many as one of the best learning infrastructures in the world; Virtual Watercooler, a smart assistant matching people to reinforce networks during and after the Covid-19 pandemic; many business process services and related industrialized operating models, from financial crime to content moderation, able to industrialize global work and related organizations - across industries; the integration into those services of human-centered design; the radical improvement of collaboration and knowledge practices supporting innovation at scale in that environment, including MIT’s Ideator - a prototype for AI augmentation of problem-solving. Today, through supermind.design, I advise organizations to shape their future and generate impact. I head design innovation at MIT\'s Collective Intelligence Design Lab, where we conceive and build AI-augmented collective-intelligence prototypes. I am an advisory board member in several organizations that use AI and collective intelligence to create positive change. I previously served with industry leaders such as SAP, BCG, and Danone and most recently, business process transformation service leader Genpact (NYSE: “G”). I have worked and lived on three continents and speak five languages. I am based in Berlin, whose time zone is perfect for orchestrating today\'s global ideas flow.
