ABOUT GEORG FENDT

As a multilingual financial and business development executive, I leverage my talent for identifying critical issues in complex environments and a passion for quickly acquiring and applying knowledge to facilitate understanding of key opportunities and enable agility, operational excellence and rapid expansion into new markets.With 20+ years as a business partner at the executive level in Asia, I\'ve implemented financial functions in local, regional, and global matrix organizations and developed business through organic investments, strategic sourcing, and M&A projects. I\'ve also developed a catalog of business models to better address customer needs and drive business across complex global supply chains.Having 10+ years of commercial functions management in 20+ countries, I’ve optimized and transformed operations to ensure accountability, compliance and transparency. I\'ve also defined and led the transformation of a regional organization into a global matrix structure, growing revenues from 180M to 310M Euro in 3 years, led Venture-Capital owned global investments, and directed activities in subsidiaries and Joint Ventures for German organizations.My ability to build trust across cultures, hierarchies and functions and a structured, hands-on, team-based approach have helped me build strong relationships with stakeholders and optimize results. By being a bridge between management, R&D, manufacturing and the government in Singapore, I was able to establish a business planning department as part of a regional organization and insure competitive operations and government support during a financial crisis.In addition to an MBA and a degree in Electronic Engineering, a fascination for Japan inherited from my father led to participating in an exchange program and a scholarship to Kanagawa University from where I earned degrees in Economics/Management. A German and Venezuelan dual citizen based in Asia since 1994, I’ve lived, worked and/or visited 35+ countries on 4 continents. When not at work I’m reading about world affairs or practicing Krav Maga.
