My background is in Electrical Engineering, more focusing on energy conversion and electrical power systems. I have an MSc in Electrical Power Engineering from Addis Ababa University, 2011 and a Joint Erasmus Mundus Masters in Sustainable Transport and Electrical Power Systems from University of Oviedo, University of Nottingham and Polytechnic de Coimbra in 2015. I got double PhDs from KTH Royal Institute of Technology (Sweden) and IMT Atlantique (France) in 2020. Application of AI in electric power system, sector coupling, backend solver development for balanced and unbalanced AC power flow models, AC optimal power flow and renewable integration are the key areas I have been working on.
