About Gerry McNamara

On 15 January 2009, I boarded US Airways Flight 1549. Minutes later, I was witness to Captain Chesley \"Sully\" Sullenberger\'s exceptional leadership as he ditched the stricken plane in the Hudson River. Captain Sullenberger leadership and skill that morning, saved all of us on that flight.The business leaders I work with may not have life and death decisions to make, but they do hold the wellbeing of some of the world\'s most influential companies in their hands. The clients I work with have a problem that they want to solve, which almost always involves a transformation of some kind. Making digital transformation a reality starts with having the very best leaders on board. However, what is \"best\" for a particular situation is the key to unlock future success. Finding that unique connection is my speciality.My career has involved senior leadership roles, at IBM and in Search, which has given me particular expertise into technology & operations roles.However, I count the time as served as Captain in the United States Marine Corps as my foundational education in leadership. The lessons I learned there in how to lead teams through difficult, unpredictable, and hazardous times seem particularly relevant today.
