About Gerard McDonough
I am a leadership and organizational performance expert with three decades of experience in the related fields of enterprise-level culture shaping, organizational design, merger integration, change execution, and executive-level leader and team development. My career spans 30 years and includes a diversity of experience in senior corporate positions and successful business start-up and scale-up ventures in the electronic information, leadership development, and business strategy consulting space. I have extensive experience forming and leading organizations, allocating enterprise resources, developing customer-centric governance teams and cultures, maximizing the value of large customer portfolios, all to create shareholder value. I frequently facilitate leadership development engagements for experienced managers as well as corporate cultural interventions for client companies in a variety of industries. An accomplished business strategist, speaker and executive coach, I have established long-term relationships with FORTUNE 250 executives, have had budget oversight responsibility to $60 million, and have enjoyed award-winning recognition for turnaround successes and for start-up profitability from USA Today and Business Week. I have been published in refereed business journals, have had the privilege of serving as guest lecturer at Bentley College, and am a frequent speaker/collaborator on podcasts including The Institute for Transformational Leadership (Georgetown University) and HR Data Labs (Salary.com). From 2009 to 2012, Gerry was Vice President of the Board of Directors of SwimMAC Carolina, an 850-athlete USA Swimming “Center of Excellence” based in Charlotte, NC. SwimMAC placed three elite swimmers on the USA Olympic Team that competed in Beijing, five athletes and an assistant coach on the 2012 London Olympic team, and five athletes and the Head Coach on the Rio de Janeiro team. During these Olympiads, SwimMAC athletes won multiple gold, silver and bronze medals.
