I\'ve worked in many areas of the refinery (Lubricants, Asphalt, Bio). I\'m now a Tech 2 in Pumping and Shipping and a Fire Captain for the Suncor Fire Response Team. The list of courses and certifications needed to do the work at Suncor is extensive but well worth the effort. I love this job - been here almost 35 years! One day is never the same as the last.

Life is never boring in my world. Every aspect of life offers diversity, change, excitement and intrigue. I love to share everyday with the people I care about, my wife, my daughters, my grandchildren, my family and my friends. They ground me and bring me happiness. They even understand me, which isn\'t easy sometimes. Working as an operator and firefighter (Captain) in a refinery teaches me everyday responsiveness, quick and accurate thinking and the importance of teamwork. Being a goalie,(since I was old enough to wear the pads) taught me the same thing but in a more social atmosphere. Sitting at the piano, feeling creative energy and hearing a story moving from my heart to my head to my fingers inspires and comforts me. It\'s where I feel the most alone but completely free to let my feelings out. So, who am I? I\'m a guy who welcomes and embraces life, new experiences, old traditions and isn\'t afraid to live each day to the extreme, entertain, play hard and work hard. I\'m just me.
