ABOUT GERRY MCDONALD
Registered as an architect in 1995 and gained a wealth of experience from working on a diverse range of buildings. I particularly enjoy challenges so to broaden my skills further I have undertaken a diploma course in construction project management and learnt a second language.Most of my career has been based in the North West where I have enjoyed working on Education, Residential, Hotel, Commercial and Leisure projects. My career started with sixteen months spent in Hanover working on airports in Germany, Russia, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. I spent some months learning German before moving abroad. When I returned to the UK this experience proved to be invaluable for EWA who were looking to establish an office in Berlin. Further foreign experience was gained in Saudi Arabia managing a design team working on a Bahraini Bank, as well as a palace fit for a Princess.
