In my role as Head of Service at Supporting Communities my Key responsibilities include:Overseeing the design, implementation, and evaluation of youth programmes addressing key issues such as health, safety, and social inclusion.Ensuring high standards of youth work through regular monitoring, review, and adaptation of services.Leading the development and expansion of youth services, creating new opportunities and pathways for young people.Managing and supporting a team of youth workers and volunteers, providing mentorship and professional development.Collaborating with external partners including social care, health services, law enforcement, education providers, and local authorities to deliver holistic support to young people.Representing the interests of young people in multi-agency meetings and advocating for improved services and resources.Managing administrative functions, maintaining effective recording systems, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.Securing funding through the development of business plans, writing reports, and making formal presentations to funding bodies.Engaging with parents and community groups to garner support for youth initiatives and promote the interests of young people.Ensuring ongoing professional development and staying informed of the latest developments in safeguarding, health and safety, and policies.Utilising relevant software tools such as Teamwork, CPOMS, Upshot, and others essential to the role.
