About German G.

I have worked in the formation evaluation and formation testing business for over 25 years. I enjoy helping asset teams achieve their objectives of reducing uncertainty and maximize value at an optimum cost. One of the biggest treats of my career has been the multicultural experience I have had the chance to enjoy in different parts of the world; I tend to thrive in this kind of environments. I am currently assisting companies operating in the deep-water blocks of the Gulf of Mexico and the Guyana-Suriname basin with the acquisition and analysis of critical reservoir dynamic data to de-risk high capital investment decisions. Being part of high-performance teams with a direct impact in high dollar project’s goals motivates me. When not at work, I usually enjoy a good conversation with family and friends. I consider myself at economist at heart and enjoy reading about asset valuation, risk, stocks and money management. I also have a soft spot for photography. Key specialties:Reservoir dynamics: Pressure surveys, deep pressure transients, production logging, downhole fluid analysis and sampling and micro-frac. all using wireline based technology.Petrophysics: Log acquisition protocols, log analysis, quality control, saturation equations, nuclear magnetic resonance, spectroscopy and basic geomechanics.Software: Techlog, Petrel, PipeSim, Geoframe, Kappa and Microsoft Office
