About Germain Bena
I like supply chain not only because it is my field of study but also, I believe that it makes the world runs smoothly. Yet, I like new challenges even more. So far, challenges have offered me chances to learn new and unique concepts to broaden my skills and value(s), to explore new tools and tricks, and most importantly, challenges have helped me stand in a crowd. Therefore, during my time at UPS, I have chosen to follow a career path in Maintenance which most might not see as a typical career path for a supply chain major. Nevertheless, supply chain and maintenance are well correlated. Some key elements to succeed in Maintenance for a supply chain major are planning and scheduling; project management, assets and inventory management, breakdowns reduction, reliability, process improvement, technology watch, timely decisions, leadership, teamwork, training, and customer (direct and indirect) feedback improvement.
