   As the owner and CEO of a strategic communications firm, Geri Denterlein and her firm are involved in the important issues of our time. From health care to education to land use, Denterlein advises clients on public policy and public relations questions, helping them communicate their goals persuasively. And, when in crisis, there is no firm more effective than Denterlein in guiding a client through the challenges that can impact reputation. Geri refers to her colleagues as a group of clear eyed idealists who use their skills in public policy, communications and public relations to improve the capacity of clients to better inform their employees, to more effectively move their community to action and to make our city, region and nation a better place. We seek out clients who want bold, engaged and courageous partners to represent them in the marketplace, and experience has taught the Denterlein team that smartness wins. They often say \"we think twice and speak once, for we know that when we speak we must use language that allows us to be heard. The power to persuade is a tool that allows us to effectuate change for our clients.\" Running a business is not Geri\'s only source of satisfaction. She takes great pleasure and enormous pride in the work of the American Red Cross. A twelve year board member of the Red Cross of Massachusetts Bay, Geri has served as chapter chair and a founding member of the Tiffany Circle, the society of women leaders. In 2012, she was named to the newly created National Philanthropic Board by American Red Cross CEO Gail McGovern. She and her husband own a small cottage in Wellfleet from which she occasionally blogs about her affection for cape cod and where they hope to live forever.
