Currently working on robotics, automation and equipment design projects. • Acting Manufacturing Engineering Manager until facility closure - Cooling Plant in Houston, TX. • Tools, gage and fixture design, sourcing and acquisition to support current production and new product launch. • Applied SMEAD concepts for model changeover optimization. Reduced lacing changeover from 5 minutes to 5 seconds. • Maintained and developed process documentation (Process Flow Diagram, Process Control Plan, PFMEA, Work Instructions, Inspection Sheets, Equipment Checklist, etc). • Supported scrap reduction team. Overall scrap rate in the Coils area was reduced from 4% to less than 2%. • Led projects for equipment upgrades, working very closely with suppliers, internal customers and supporting teams. • Provided floor support to (hairpin benders, fin presses, lacing tables, expanders, braze lines) to address safety, efficiency, ergonomics and quality issues. • Actively participated and played a key role on 7mm product line launch. • Maintained DJPMO databases for defective product analysis, root cause finding as well as Preventive and Corrective Action Plan implementation. • Led prototype builds for 20, 18 and 16 SEER condensers, heat pumps and mini splits. • ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 Internal Lead Auditor
