Responsible for leading teams that provide expert advice to the Bayer R&D Therapeutic Areas and Business Units regarding Medical Devices, Electronic Data Capture, Human Factors Studies, as well as relevant R&D aspects of eHealth. The goal is to support the sustainable success of Medical Device development and advancement, as well as the successful development and utilization of eHealth platforms in a highly competitive and rapidly changing marketplace. Responsible for: • A group that provides internal consultative services for the development of a global clinical strategies and the operational conduct of global development activities concerning Medical Devices, Electronic Data Capture, Human Factors Studies, and eHealth • Providing consultative services for new molecular entities Phase and for marketed products with the aim to optimize product value (e.g. new indications, new formulations, etc.) • Proactively assisting in the management of the Bayer R&D portfolio by providing expert input on Medical Device and eHealth opportunities (including drug-device combinations) • Membership on the General Medicine Development Leadership Team, Clinical Development & Outcomes Planning Review Committee, and Therapeutic Development Committee • Proactively supporting the search, evaluation, and execution of licensing opportunities in the Medical Device and eHealth marketplaces • Ongoing analysis of the external landscape regarding Medical Devices, Electronic Data Capture, Human Factors Studies, and all R&D aspects of eHealth.
