About Gerard Lorden

Mr. Lorden has worked with Morgan Stanley\'s Boston Office for over 35 years. He delivers highly customized risk and asset management solutions to wealthy individuals and families, as well as private and public corporations. Gerry oversees investment philosophy and macroeconomic strategy. He works with holders of concentrated equity positions on hedging, diversification and monetization strategies. He is also a recognized Portfolio Manager at Morgan Stanley. Outside of Morgan Stanley, Mr. Lorden is active with his community. He served for over 20 years as a board member of World Boston, a 60-year-old, Nobel Peace Prize-nominated, non-profit org, which administers the State Department’s International Visitor Program. This organization’s mandate is to create global citizen diplomacy in the areas of politics, business, law, academia and more. Mr. Lorden has also been an active member of the Mass Anti-Terrorism Task Force Public/Private Partnership. He is the Co Founder of the nationally acclaimed STEM Garden Institute-teaching science, technology, engineering and math through the platform of hydroponics. In 2017 he was nominated and accepted as a member of The Military Order of the Carabao. Mr. Lorden was selected to serve on the Independent Review Team for the US Army’s Venture Capital Initiative. He currently serves on the board of the National Defense Industrial Association and was asked by the Homeland Security Office to be a panelist for the 2008 DHS Stakeholders conference. Most recently, he has been appointed to FSU\'s College of Engineering Strategic Advisory Council focusing at the intersection of National Security and innovation. He is a graduate of the Boston College Carroll School of Management with a concentration in Finance. His passions include education and global citizen diplomacy.
