About Gerald Cotiangco

For nine years I’ve built academic-industry partnerships for Columbia University, first for the Engineering School and then the newly launched Climate School. I also provide individualized coaching and school-wide programming for students and alumni to help them discover, create, and navigate career opportunities. I have a master\'s in Adult Learning & Leadership from Teachers College with a focus on radical learning—that is, helping people realize their collective power to build a more free, just, and social-democratic society. When it comes to the climate crisis (read: governance crisis), we all have a role to play and a responsibility to play it. I left Columbia in early 2024 to join the Cornell Climate Jobs Institute because I wanted to learn about growing worker power.
