About Gerald Vera

My education and expertise in the game/toy industry is in creating fun games for all ages especially for the family market. It started in the mid 90’s when I was a designer at Crystal dynamics and was mentored and exposed to the art of making great action adventure games; including working with Paul Reiche 3, creator of Skylanders, and Glen Schofield, co-founder sledgehammer games. In I became lead game designer at Luxoflux corp. and worked on several projects including Shrek 2, and the True Crime series. By 2005, I went to Ready at Dawn to work with Michael John, current director of UC Santa Cruz’s Games MS program, on PSP titles: Daxter and god of War. I became a game design consultant in 2007 to work with several triple “A” studios, and in 2010 became Lead game designer for Big Red button. In 2017, became lead designer at Ozobot Inc. creating connected experiences for Evo robots, and currently doing consulting for game and toy companies. Below is a listing of my core qualifications.
