I am an experienced consulting engineer and instructor who has worked in both public and private sectors of the Civil Engineering Industry. My work is focused on Flood Forensics, Applied Hydrology and Watershed Management, Fire Hydrology and Recovery, Floodplain Management, Hydraulic Engineering, and Construction Engineering and Management. I have an educational background that includes a Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE), a Master of Science (MS) and Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Civil/Hydraulic Engineering. In addition to consulting, I serve as an expert for complex litigation in water resources, hydrology, and hydraulics where a case requires complex technical analysis. I have worked as a federal employee, a private consultant, an expert witness, and as an Associate Teaching Professor at the University of Colorado Denver with the Civil Engineering Department. I am a honorably discharged veteran of foreign wars (VFW) having served combat tours for OIF and OEF as an Engineer building bases and being one of the first platoons on operation Trailblazer, where we cleared IEDs and ambush sites for safe passage of troops and civilians in Iraq.
