ABOUT ANTONIO NATALE

As a geographer specializing in GIS and Remote Sensing, he brings over 20 years of experience in data analysis, GIS enterprise design, and the management of complex projects where spatial information is crucial for effective data management and analysis.From to 2003, he lived and worked in the Balkans on international cooperation projects in agriculture and forestry. Serving as a project manager, he gained extensive knowledge of the region, and, due to the conflicts in the area, he developed skills in emergency management.After returning to Italy in 2004, he focused on spatial analysis and modeling related to emergency planning and management within the Civil Protection sector. During this time, he was among the first in Italy to experiment with and implement dasymetric mapping techniques for estimating population distribution.From 2010 to 2013, he worked in Albania and Montenegro on an EU Technical Assistance Project, where he served as an expert in developing statistical geographic information systems, planning and collecting field data, creating monitoring systems, and defining quality control processes for data in population, housing, and agriculture censuses. Notably, for the 2011 Census, he contributed a geographical analysis model to assist in establishing enumeration areas for the Albanian National Statistical System. He continues to assist many National Statistical Offices in the preparation, implementation, and dissemination of the geospatial components for Population and Housing Censuses, Agriculture Censuses, and processes related to regional statistics.In 2011, he joined TeamDev and became one of the directors of the company. Currently, he leads the consultancy division, which specializes in software development, as well as GIS and Remote Sensing consulting and training for the private sector, public administration, non-profit organizations, educational institutions, and international organizations.In 2017, he brought together a group of entrepreneurs passionate about precision farming to establish a new company, Agricolus. He currently serves as one of the directors of this Italian startup.
