ABOUT GEORGINA ROSE

A highly motivated and experienced independent consultant (RC & B Consultancy Ltd), having previously held SMF position\'s as Chief Risk Officer (SMF4) and Compliance Officer/MLRO (SMF 16/17), with a proven record of implementation and execution of risk management and regulatory risk frameworks. Able to adapt and build infrastructures to meet the challenges of a new and ever changing regulatory environment. My experience enables me to cover all the key components required including: risk management (implementation and continuous monitoring of risk), implementation of the compliance and internal controls framework and reporting at Committee and Board level. Exceptional communication skills have allowed me to proactively build relationships and influence and advise at stakeholder level. With the ability to communicate and consult with the business functions on risk and compliance issues, working with them to understand their concerns and needs so that risk and compliance can be seen as a positive influence. As a Chief Risk Officer I have been responsible for providing independent review and oversight of risks and taking the lead on risk issues, developing and maintaining the risk management frameworks and fostering a strong risk culture across the businesses I have worked for. As a Compliance Officer, I have been responsible for establishing standards and implementing procedures to ensure that the compliance program is effective and efficient in identifying, preventing, detecting and correcting non-compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Well versed in working closely with and developing the effectiveness of Boards and Risk and Governance Committees. Also established in financial crime, GDPR and whistleblowing with experience across various sectors (Lloyd\'s Market, General Insurance, Mutual, Lloyd\'s Broking, warranties and Life and Pensions).
