ABOUT GEORGINA RIVERA

I am an educational leader experience advancing equitable, high-quality mathematics instruction through coherent systems, instructional leadership, and professional learning. Currently serving as a principal, I lead work that strengthens teacher leadership, aligns curriculum and instruction, and moves schools from fragmented remediation toward sustainable acceleration.I am the author of four professional books for mathematics teachers and leaders, a Math PLC Associate, and a national summit and conference presenter. My career spans roles as a mathematics teacher, instructional coach, and elementary STEM supervisor, providing a classroom-to-district lens on instructional improvement, implementation, and scale.I have served in national leadership roles, including former Vice President of the National Council of Supervisors of Mathematics (NCSM), and have chaired and co-designed national math leadership conferences. This work reflects my belief that professional learning must attend to culture, voice, and belonging in order to produce lasting instructional change.I specialize in designing and leading professional learning systems that are rigorous, human-centered, and grounded in collective teacher efficacy. I am particularly focused on building coherence across departments and schools, developing instructional leaders, and supporting districts in aligning vision, practice, and outcomes.
