ABOUT GEORGINA HART

I have extensive experience in contentious matters spanning all of the core IP rights, with a particular focus on copyright and patent work. I advise clients across a variety of sectors, including the music, film and entertainment industries. I help protect and enforce clients\' IP rights in both the online and offline world, achieving achieved favourable outcomes for many clients through a mixture of hard fought litigation and carefully negotiated settlement strategies. I qualified as a solicitor of England and Wales in September 2015 and joined the Intellectual Property team at Wiggin LLP in May 2019, having previously worked and trained at Bird & Bird LLP. I have experience of advising non-contentious IP matters as well and during my time at Bird & Bird I completed a 6-month part time, virtual secondment for an international specialist chemical company working in transactional and commercial IP role. I also completed the Post-Graduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Law & Practice at Oxford University in June 2017.During my training contract, I completed seats in IP, Employment and Real Estate. I have always had a particular interest in Intellectual Property Law following completion of a Master\'s degree in Chemistry at Oxford University.I grew up in Spain and speak near fluent Spanish. These early experiences have instilled in me a love for international travel and immersion in other cultures and languages. I was able to use my Spanish skills during the third seat of my training contract when I was posted on secondment to Bird & Bird\'s Madrid office where I was based in their IP department. In my spare time, I enjoy sports such as running and cycling. I love art and spend weekends visiting art galleries and photo exhibitions.
