ABOUT GEORGIA SMITH
I have recently started a role as a People Strategy Delivery Manager at Pinsent Masons, a role which is supporting the Global Chief People Officer. This role focuses on delivering people strategy initiatives that drive meaningful organisational change across a complex, international environment. My career has been shaped by a strong academic foundation and a consistent passion for people, strategy and inclusion. I graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a First Class Honours Degree in Geography (BSc), with my dissertation examining gendered working culture in the Oil and Gas Industry — earning first place in the Royal Geographical Society’s ‘Gender and Feminist Geographies’ dissertation category.Prior to joining Pinsent Masons, I spent several formative years at PwC in a number of progressive roles. Most recently, I was a People Strategy and Operations Manager in the Global Sustainability (ESG) and Growth Priority teams, combining platform-level PMO with leadership strategy. Before that, I worked in the People Strategy team within Global Human Capital, leading global projects across skills tracking, strategic workforce planning, and redesigning performance and promotion processes. I also gained early career experience in PwC’s Technology Risk practice, advising clients across sectors including Law, Property, Town Planning and Oil and Gas.Alongside my professional roles, I served for seven years as Scotland Lead for PwC’s Gender Balance Network, organising events, writing thought pieces and delivering communications focused on tackling gender inequality in the workplace.I am passionate about the intersection of people, strategy and organisational change — and committed to building workplaces that are both high-performing and genuinely inclusive.
