Georgia assists in leading the overall Department including operations, budget and programs. She works with many statewide stakeholders and agencies to help develop statewide strategies to meet workforce needs. Oversight of five Divisions within the Department that are dedicated to helping Iowans develop their skills and find the career they want in Iowa and assisting businesses find the workforce they need to help them grow. This oversight includes over 750 employees and multiple locations statewide.Member of the Executive Team which guides and makes the key decisions for the Department. Lead the development of a refreshed strategic plan for the agency that crossed all Divisions and included meterics to ensure an ROI on state and federal funding while addressing critical workforce needs. As with most of her positions, Georgia has had the opportunity to identify gaps in processes and procedures and reenvision strategies to strengthen Divisions and the impact on customers. Collaboration with the Governor\'s office, state agencies. legislators, and constituents statewide to develop and implement strategies and programs to address workforce gaps in Iowa.
