ABOUT GEORGIA MORGAN

I began my journey at ISCA UK as a Cosmetic Microbiologist, where I tested a wide range of cosmetic products for global brands to ensure compliance with the Cosmetic Product Regulation. The success of our in-house lab led to the creation of ISCA Cosmetic Testing (ICT)—a dedicated branch offering comprehensive testing and consultancy services for cosmetic product development and regulatory support. As ICT grew, I was promoted to Cosmetic Microbiology Project Coordinator, a role focused on expanding our testing capabilities through the development of new services such as challenge testing, stability testing, and vegan claims verification. I worked closely with clients from concept through to Product Information File (PIF) completion, helping to shape robust, compliant products from start to finish. Now, as Head of Cosmetic Testing, I lead the department’s strategic and operational direction, manage a multidisciplinary team, and oversee our global testing services. I provide regulatory consultancy aligned with UK, EU, and international frameworks, while actively representing ISCA at leading industry events including in-cosmetics Global, in-cosmetics Asia, and Cosmetorium. My role combines scientific expertise with strategic leadership, helping brands bring safe, effective, and compliant products to market worldwide.I graduated with a 2:1 in Biology (BSc) from Swansea University, where I gained valuable academic and field experience. A highlight was participating in an interdisciplinary research trip to Sikkim, India, in October 2019, where I collaborated with geographers and zoologists to produce scientific reports on agriculture, wildlife, and cultural practices in the Himalayan region.Alongside my academic and full-time commitments, I’ve worked part-time at Halo Leisure in multiple roles—including lifeguard, swimming teacher, and receptionist—demonstrating strong time management and dedication. I’ve built lasting professional relationships with colleagues and customers while maintaining fitness and teamwork in high-responsibility environments such as first aid and safeguarding. Teaching swimming is a personal passion, and I’ve enjoyed helping children develop essential water safety skills. I was later promoted to Customer Service Manager of Activities, where I successfully built and managed a swimming programme serving over 300 children.Travelling the globe is a passion and hobby of mine, mainly to explore new places and various species within their natural habitat as well experiencing different cultures.
