As an Employment Advisor with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), I support individuals to move closer to the labour market and secure sustainable employment. I build strong, collaborative relationships with local and national employers, proactively engaging and brokering partnerships to identify vacancies, create tailored opportunities, and open clear pathways into work for claimants.I lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of high-impact job fairs and recruitment events, bringing together employers, training providers, and community partners. These events are designed to connect jobseekers with real opportunities while promoting inclusive hiring practices and addressing local skills shortages.A key part of my role involves designing and delivering engaging group sessions and workshops, covering CV development, interview preparation, job search strategies, and effective application techniques. I also deliver sector-based presentations to help claimants understand different industries, career routes, and in-demand skills, empowering them to make informed career decisions.I bring strong labour market insight, using data and local intelligence to advise both claimants and employers on trends, skills gaps, and emerging opportunities. This enables me to tailor support, match candidates effectively, and support workforce planning.
