ABOUT GEORGE WESTERMAN
Dr. George Westerman helps executives to understand the transformative potential of AI and other fast-moving digital technologies. His research-based insights show leaders the questions they should ask and the steps they can take to help their organizations thrive. During more than 20 years with MIT Sloan School of Management, he has been a pioneer in the study of digital transformation. His award-winning book Leading Digital: Turning Technology Into Business Transformation helped to frame the executive conversation on the topic. His research studies on digital-ready culture and on workforce transformation provide important insights to move from transformation projects to transformation capability. His most recent research helps executives understand how to integrate generative AI into business strategy.George is cochair of the MIT Sloan CIO Leadership Awards, digital strategy advisor to the US Library of Congress, Board of Directors member for workforce credentialing organization WorkCred, and executive advisor to large corporations around the world. At MIT, he teaches the highly regarded executive courses Leadership for the AI Age and Essential IT for Non-IT Executives. Prior to earning a doctorate in innovation strategy from Harvard Business School, he gained more than a dozen years of experience in product development and technology leadership roles.
