ABOUT GEORGETTE MILLER

Attorney, entrepreneur, business leader, and philanthropist are all roles I have held during my career. Each of these has leveraged my ability to partner with internal and external clients to identify and solve complex challenges, mitigate risk, and drive growth. And, with a passion for leading Diversity, Equity and Inclusion [DEI] and Environmental, Social, Governance [ESG] efforts, I am committed to fostering meaningful, sustainable change. As a Partner with Dilworth Paxson, I advocate for my clients on commercial real estate transactions, bankruptcy corporate governance matters. I work with federal agencies, including the IRS, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and the Department of Justice, as I guide clients through complex litigation. I am serve on the firm’s DEI committee, through which I’ve worked to create an outreach program with local law schools to increase the firm’s talent pipeline of minority candidates. I also lead a firmwide initiative to recruit diversity hires from competitor firms and recruitment for our 2023 summer program. Some of the major highlights of my career include the following achievements: Launching my eponymous firm and expanding it to include offices in five states. Leading DEI efforts on behalf of Dilworth Paxson and advising organizations on best practices related to diversity recruiting. Serving as CEO of a transportation company and leading it to become one of FedEx’s major logistics partners. Providing executive leadership to philanthropic organizations, including the Sickle Cell Disease Association of America and Habitat for Humanity.
