About George Franklin

George is a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager with 20 years of experience in managing and conducting field investigation and remediation activities at a variety of corrective action sites. Primary responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and implementing site investigation and remediation projects involving hazardous building materials, primarily polychlorinated biphenyls. He also has experience in the investigation and remediation planning for the releases of hazardous wastes and/or petroleum products. He has been involved in a variety of activities including building demolition and renovations, soil excavation and disposal, hazardous waste storage area closure, underground storage tank removal, and environmental media sampling. He has experience working in a variety of state and federal regulatory programs including TSCA PCB Disposal Regulations, RCRA corrective action, CERCLA, the Massachusetts Contingency Plan, the New Hampshire Contaminant Site Management rules, and the Connecticut Remediation Standard Regulations. In addition, George serves in the role of Service Line Safety Lead for the Corrective Action service line and acts as the Site Health and Safety Officer for a wide variety of projects.
