Leading National Grid’s Networks & Critical Infrastructure function, accountable for designing, operating, and transforming the corporate networks and broader critical infrastructure offerings that underpin our UK and US businesses. My remit spans US critical applications, infrastructure and connectivity as well as the enterprise data and telecom networks, voice networks, and core network capabilities, ensuring resilient, secure, and cost-effective services that enable the digitalisation of the energy system.Key responsibilities:Strategy & Delivery – Setting the vision and driving multi-year programmes to modernise legacy networks, accelerate SD-WAN adoption, and deliver regulatory-aligned outcomes under our US and UK regulators.Operational Excellence – Owning performance, stability, and cyber compliance of corporate and critical networks, embedding a “brilliant at the basics” culture across the organisation.Transformation & Innovation – Enabling AI adoption and digital platforms through next-generation network foundations, while insourcing and building in-house capabilities for long-term resilience.Financial Stewardship – Managing cost-to-serve, eliminating technical debt, and delivering significant OPEX and CAPEX savings through vendor negotiations, circuit remediation, and automation.Leadership & People – Shaping organisational design, and building high-performing teams across jurisdictions to meet evolving business and regulatory demands.I am passionate about creating networks that just work, and critical infrastructure that never fails – customer-first, brilliant at the basics, trusted by all, and ready for the future.
