ABOUT GEORGE PERFECT

I am currently an Associate Director at Quoin Partners. We provide senior advisory services to organisations and businesses who need to understand and influence local authorities, combined authorities and central government. Our specialism is working with developers, investors and operators to secure political support, planning consent and public–private partnerships. Quoin Partners is a joint venture with the Connect Group, drawing on Connect’s team of fifty consultants, plus in-house design and digital capability.Outside of my professional role, I am proud to be an elected Councillor on Medway Council, where I serve as Leader of the Opposition. I have overall responsibility for the principal opposition group, and shadow the leader of the council. Medway Council is the unitary authority (upper tier with responsibility for all local government services) for the conurbation of Medway – my lifelong home. With a passion for children and young people’s issues, I serve as a Member of the Children, Young People and Families Policy Committee at the Local Government Association and as a Member of both the Beyond Schools Trust and the Inspire Partnership Academy Trust. Prior to joining Quoin Partners, I spent five years at a built environment focused public affairs consultancy, advising a range of businesses primarily across London and the South East. Educated at a state comprehensive, I hold a first-class degree in politics and am a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
