ABOUT GEORGE ERLANDSON

I am currently a Senior at Miami University. Throughout my time as a student, I have had many opportunities to learn and grow in and outside of the classroom through course work and internships. I\'ve had the chance to explore finance and accounting though various hands-on experiences and leadership roles. While at Twin Disc I assisted in conducting audit procedures to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls. I also took part in reviewing SOX documentation and performed financial statement testing, ensuring adherence to compliance standards. While at TAJ Accountants I ensured compliance with accounting standards and supported budgeting processes. As President of the Miami Finance Association and a member of the Miami Real Estate Club, I\'ve developed my networking skills while learning more about financial markets and real estate analysis. These roles have also allowed me to connect with other students and professionals who share my passion for the industry. Outside of school, I\'ve been fortunate enough to take part in various volunteer experiences. One experience I took part of was volunteer work in Jamaica, which was a humbling and rewarding experience. It reminded me of the importance of leadership and community and has inspired me to continue finding ways to give back. Through my internships and course work have become proficient with Microsoft Office products and have experience with SQL and Python. I am passionate about continuously learning and my personal growth. I have interests in playing hockey, waterskiing, and tennis, which I actively participate in.
