I don’t know how you do what you do.” “After reading this, I’d hire me. I didn’t know I was that good.” That’s how our engineers describe my role. I provide them strategic marketing and communication support for sales and the development of qualifications-based proposals in a highly competitive, deadline-intense environment. I also guide them through client-focused preparation for shortlist interviews. During my tenure here, I’ve remained a leader in win rates on proposals, and my performance has resulted in the firm’s creation of two higher-responsibility positions to recognize my skills and trusted relationships with our technical staff. I also support our marketing team with quality control reviews and our technical staff with training on the proposal process and preparation for shortlist interviews.#proposals #statementsofqualifications #business development #salessupport #water #engineering #JoinFNI

ABOUT GEORGE BOWDEN

Asking questions is the best part of my job. You know, the kinds of questions that leave my proposal teammates speechless and thinking about how they can better serve their clients. I work with our region’s most talented engineers, and my job is to translate their passion for innovative problem-solving and trusted leadership into client-focused marketing communications. I own the tools and skills to craft strategic messages that help clients easily recognize the value of a service-based relationship with my employer, Freese and Nichols. I have been a recognized and sought-after manager for hundreds of qualifications-based proposals and shortlist interviews since 2004, especially for strategic, must-win pursuits for key clients. I also manage the best practices and business development training programs for our marketing and technical staffs. My writing\'s not too shabby either; the Mayborn Nonfiction Literary Conference and the Texas School Public Relations Association have recognized my writing with their top awards, and I co-authored a case study in a recent public relations textbook. I value the leadership, focus and culture that have earned Freese and Nichols the Malcolm Baldrige Award. A former member of the Water Environment Association of Texas, I served on the Asset Management Committee, providing support in webinars, magazine articles and as a moderator at Texas Water. I also was a member of WEAT’s Philanthropy Committee that supports Water for People. I’m a former board member for the Society for Marketing Professional Services’ recently formed North Texas Chapter. Weekends find me working in my wife’s and my Certified Monarch Way Station in our backyard, I’m a member of the Visit Granbury History Ambassadors and the Granbury Writers Bloc. I\'m a utility player for teaching Sunday School, and I lead a small Bible study group.#proposals #strategiccommunications #engineering #businessdevelopment #JoinFNI #nonprofit #writer #butterflies #Texashistory
