About George Boitano

Over the past 25 years, I have been a security software designer, developer, consultant and entrepreneur. My area of expertise is large enterprise security software, and I have created products for access control, security administration, identity management and governance, log management and event detection. Previously, I worked full-time for Verisign->Secureworks->Dell Services on a successful get-well initiative for their Log Management Services offering, where I became familiar with SIEM technology and the managed security service provider business model. In 1990, I founded Security Integration Inc, which developed and sold packaged enterprise single-sign-on and security management software to large corporations. I transitioned from CTO to CEO in 1995, where I remained until 2002, when we sold the company to Rocket Software. I then served four years as a product author for Rocket Software, leaving in 2006.Specialties: General: product design, development, support, management, company formation, small company leadership, offshore development, OEM relationships.Technical: SIEM, IDM, anything related to the IBM Mainframe, enterprise security in general, common security protocols (LDAP, SSL, SAML, etc.), Elastic, ArcSight, etc.Languages: Python (preferred language), zOS Assembler, VBA/.net, COBOL, java, C, etc.

   I founded this company in 2011, and currently partner with Elastic to deliver implementation and design services to large enterprises for event detection; log management; application monitoring & security; observabiility; and search. Our consultants have deployed for over 350 engagements, mainly large enterprises in the US. We specialize in what we call \"x2elastic:\" converting and consolidating a wide range of SIEM and Observability use cases onto the Elastic Stack. We specialize in large-scale conversions from such platforms as Splunk, QRadar, SolarWinds, etc.
