ABOUT GEORGE ACHEMPIM
Human Development for Afrika (HuD Afrika) is working to address inequities in provision and access to healthcare for especially, women and children in developing countries. Despite improvements in global health indicators, 99% of all maternal deaths occur in developing countries, and the risk for a child dying before the fifth birthday is 14 times higher compared to high income countries. Further compounding the situation are the increase in incidence of noncommunicable diseases. HuD Afrika works to promote universal health coverage in developing countries.
