Responsibilities include but are not limited to interviewing, hiring, and training team members; scheduling and motivating team members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining team members up to and including termination; addressing complaints; and resolving problems.• Manages the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of IT systems including.• Complies with all gaming statutory obligations and company policy.• Ensures the efficient utilization of IT resources – including personnel and equipment – across the organization.• Provide Tier 2 Support to the Helpdesk• Ensures that expenses incurred for IT Systems does not exceed budgetary limits and that items purchased are standard and are validated by the IT Steering Committee• Analyzes existing operations and makes recommendations for the improvement and growth of IT infrastructure and systems.• Conducts research and make recommendations on products, services, protocols, and standards in support of all infrastructure and systems development efforts.• Negotiates with vendors and contractors to secure infrastructure and systems specific products and services.• Monitors the utilization of all systems to detect potential errors or problems and provide necessary preventative measures.• Provides new ideas to all areas of the company where new technology can be utilized to gain better efficiency and improve company productivity.• Assists the Director/CIO in assuring all capital expenditure equipment and services are budgeted, scheduled on a fiscal basis, and requested with proper justification.• Establish, update, and ensure full compliance with departmental Internal Controls, policies, procedures, and regulations.
