George is at the Knight Cancer Institute, where he has senior leadership roles as director of the pathology shared resource, and medical director within the Knight Diagnostics Laboratory. George’s NCI-funded lab studies cancer therapeutics and metabolism, and has participated in the Cancer Moonshot, TCGA, SPORE and SU2C consortiums. Prior to the Knight, George was on faculty at UCLA and was attending pathologist at the UCLA Medical Center. He completed his research fellowship at the laboratory of Charles Sawyers (HHMI).George completed his pathology residency at the Harvard (Beth Israel Hospital) and UCLA (UCLA Medical Center) programs, and his internal medicine residency at the University College Dublin (St. Vincent’s Hospital) program. He holds an M.D. from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, and a Masters from University College Dublin.
