ABOUT GEORGE SMITH-BRIGGS
I’m a creative media producer from Stoke-on-Trent with a strong interest in digital storytelling, filmmaking, and marketing. After completing my Level 3 Creative Media Production course at Stoke-on-Trent College with a Merit, I gained practical experience through a work placement with Overclockers UK. There, I created engaging short-form video and social content across platforms like TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube—refining my skills in editing, branding, and platform strategy. One of my most rewarding projects was a self-directed short documentary exploring the legacy of the 1986 National Garden Festival in Stoke-on-Trent. This piece was exhibited as part of the Stoke Connected exhibition at The Potteries Museum & Art Gallery in summer 2024. The project combined field interviews, archival research, and hands-on filmmaking, giving me the opportunity to connect local history with creative storytelling in a way that resonated with the community.I’m now continuing my studies in Digital Video Production and Marketing at the University of Salford, where I aim to build on my documentary and commercial content experience—focusing on visual narratives that inform, inspire, and connect with digital audiences.
