ABOUT GEORGE ONORATO

Over 20 years of consulting, project management, and specialized contracting experience in managing, designing, and performing civil, geotechnical, and environmental related specialty design-build projects across US and Canada. Experience encompasses a broad-range of both engineering and construction related project work, including engineering design, evaluation and developing project scopes, proposal preparation, project management, cost estimating, and specialty geotechnical and environmental construction field work.Project experience within the areas of remediation, slurry wall design, deep soil mixing (DSM) systems, permeable reactive barrier (PRB) walls, various types of ground improvements work, sheet-pile systems, sinkhole assessments, grout injections and monitoring programs, remediation systems, underground storage tanks (USTs) removals/design upgrades, facility decommission and demolition, as well as certain areas of civil concrete design and dredging.Over the last six years I\'ve gained extensive experience with the design and construction of deep soil mixing (DSM) systems for hydraulic barrier walls, contaminate stabilization, and ground improvement applications. This work has included mix designs, long term chemical compatibility studies, strength and control modulus designs, and CQA testing, site geotechnical evaluations, and the development of project-specific construction plans and specifications, task work plans, and quality control/quality assurance programs, and site-specific field sampling and laboratory testing procedures.
