Working at Glasgow Caledonian University’s London campus, teaching academic skills to postgraduate social science students. I offer one-to-one academic skills appointments and drop-in sessions, and my teaching is a mixture of London Learning Development Centre sessions and embedded programme lectures/seminars. I have given online lectures to over a hundred master’s students on a mixed programme module, and led in-person seminars for as few as seven doctoral students. I have also designed and led bespoke dissertation workshop series, led workshop series for resit students, supported students with academic misconduct cases, and been involved with equity/inclusivity initiatives such as GCU’s 2024 Disability Review. I am also currently second supervisor on two doctoral theses.
