About George Mieling
Raised in Vienna, Austria I came to Vode from the corporate world where I held executive-level positions at a biochemical corporation in Europe and Massachusetts. After 15 years in the industrial sector, I craved something new, wanting to put my time and efforts into a business where I held a larger personal stake. So I joined my cousin Tom Warton, and design guru Scott Yu, both Bay Area entrepreneurs, to create Vode Lighting. With Scott\'s expertise in industrial design and Tom’s experience in the lighting industry, my business management skills provided the impetus to drive the company’s growth. At every stage I contributed in establishing efficient business processes and managing our financial risk. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, surfing, skiing, traveling around the world and playing keyboards in a local rock band.
