ABOUT GEORGE MAUER

I am a people-and-product obsessed technical leader focused on architecture, simplicity, and building effective teams since the mid-aughts. As a Director and CTO I have grown communities, built business strategy, and provided technical and non-technical guidance at all levels. As a technical lead, I have mentored dozens of people, helped guide product development, build out architecture, and generally help out where needed to lead teams into the pit of success.I speak at conferences, cohost the weekly VBB chat (virtualbrownbag.com), have written popular articles, and been interviewed for a variety of podcasts and publications. I suppose that makes me an industry leader.I am especially interested in remote-friendly companies that can check any of the following boxes- Companies working in the climate tech space- Product companies building developer or productivity tooling that helps people- Companies doing innovative things with AI/ML- Engineering departments that do functional programming (especially a Lisp such as Clojure or Racket)
