ABOUT GEORGE E. MATHES
George Mathes is Chairman of the Board and Executive Vice President for Trihydro. George is a registered Professional Engineer in multiple states and has over 25 years of experience in the engineering and environmental industry. George graduated from the University of Wyoming with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and a master’s degree in environmental engineering. Through the recommendation of his master’s advisor, George applied at Trihydro and has been with the company now for 23 years. George has served in roles of increasing levels of responsibility leading up to his current position as Chief Development Officer. Prior to this position, George served as the Business Unit Leader for Industrial, Commercial, and Energy Services (ICE), serving a diverse range of clientele, including Fortune 500 chemical, development, energy, and waste management corporations. In addition to his administrative responsibilities, George still plays an active role in projects by serving as project director, project manager, as well as project engineer. George specializes in large-scale projects that require collaboration and coordination between specialty consultants, contractors, regulators, and client/owner stakeholders. He has managed projects under the jurisdiction of Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), Clean Water Act (CWA), administrative orders on consent, and various other state, federal, and international regulatory programs. He has worked on hundreds of impacted sites across the U.S. and internationally, including: assessment, risk evaluation, vapor intrusion, remediation, and closure.
