He has worked in the financial services industry for more than 40 years, ever since he graduated from college. George earned a Bachelor degree in business administration from the University of Mississippi, where he was also a four-year letterman in football and member of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. In the past, he has served as president of both the University of Mississippi M-Club Alumni Chapter of the Ole Miss Alumni Association and the Rebel Club of Memphis. In 2008, he received the University of Mississippi M-Club Hall of Fame Service Award and was inducted into the Ole Miss Alumni Association Hall of Fame in 2012.In addition to his distinguished career in the financial services industry (Chairman\'s Council, 2010, 2011, 2012) President\'s Club 2013. Chairman\'s Council and President\'s Club membership is based on prior fiscal year production. Requalification is required annually. George is very active in his local community in Germantown. He is an Advisory Board Member for the Germantown Methodist Hospital and an active member of Grace Evangelical Church.
