About George Kenney
George Kenney is co-founder of Shepherd Ventures The fund invests in Tech and Med Tech companies that have trustworthy management teams and build competitive moats using A.I. George was also founder and Managing Director of Shepherd Ventures II, a successful Tech, SW and Life Science fund that invested in 18 companies. He has a strong technical background combined with extensive Wall Street and financial industry experience. George founded five startups, four of which were successful. He has syndicated many debt and equity financings for a broad range of technology and financial companies.George currently runs Startup Funding Lab and Entrepreneur\'s Boot Camp with 40+ certified graduates. He is also CEO of Black Swan Research, where he invented a \"black swan flu shot\" that protects stock portfolios from market meltdowns.Before forming Shepherd Ventures, George was CTO and Partner at Nicholas-Applegate, a money management firm in San Diego, where he directed technology and operations to grow and sell the company. Prior to Nicholas-Applegate, he was a Managing Director at Kidder Peabody in New York City, becoming an expert in Investment Risk Management. Previously he held top positions at Swiss Bank, Salomon Brothers, American Stock Exchange, and North American Philips. George has numerous US and foreign patents.George holds an MBA in Finance from Columbia University, an MSEE from Stanford and a BSEE from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Additionally, he is a Graduate of Harvard University\'s Industrial Management Program.George served as a Trustee on the San Diego City Pension Board (SDCERS) with $9 billion in AUM. He also served as a Trustee for the San Diego Museum of Art and as pro-bono Chairman of the Museum\'s Investment Committee. In addition, George was a member of the Board of Governors of the National Association of Small Business Investment Companies. He is currently a Board Member of several technology companies.
