My career experience and skills include sailing as a USCG licensed Master Mariner and shoreside operations and labor relations management. As a Professor and faculty chair at the U. S. Merchant Marine Academy, I implemented new curriculum and engaged more than four decades of experience defining requirements, designing, implementing, testing and delivering new courses. I led teams on behalf of the USCG and IMO, leveraging professional experience and knowledge of domestic and international regulations, to work towards common goals and achieving validation of many model courses for worldwide use. Detailed-oriented, responsible and committed maritime professional with a get-it-done, on-time, and high-quality product attitude and strong communications skills as lecturer, teacher, negotiator, and ship’s officer dealing with individuals and groups in the disciplines of academia and maritime business operations.
