About George Diwan

I am a Software Development Engineer at Amazon Web Services (AWS), where I work on EC2 Reserved Instances and Savings Plans, and Capacity Block Reservations for Machine Learning Workloads. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a Minor in Applied Mathematics from New Jersey Institute of Technology in 2021, where I also serve as an Adjunct Lecturer. My core competencies include software development, Python, Java, and predictive analytics.In my current role at AWS, I contribute to the design, implementation, and testing of scalable and reliable cloud-based solutions that help customers optimize their cloud costs and performance. I use Python and Java to develop and deploy microservices, APIs, and web applications that integrate with AWS services and tools. As an Adjunct Lecturer at NJIT, I teach an introductory course on Python programming, where I revamp the lecture plan to align with current industry standards, and integrate new projects that demonstrate the application of Python to various domains, such as generative art and animation. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and passion for software development with students, and helping them develop their skills and creativity. I value learning, innovation, and collaboration, and I believe that I can bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team.
