Dr. Diaz has promoted improved stroke care in South Florida since 1998. In addition to Vascular Neurology, Dr. Diaz is also board certified in Neurology, Brain Injury Medicine and Neuromuscular Medicine. Dr. Diaz has lectured on multiple neurological issues, such as acute ischemic stroke, neurological emergencies, and neuromuscular diseases. Dr. Diaz earned his bachelor\'s degree in chemistry at Florida International University and his medical degree at the University of Miami School of Medicine. He interned and completed his neurology residency at the University of Miami-Jackson Memorial Hospitals.Dr. Diaz also completed an Electromyography-Neuromuscular Fellowship at the University of Texas Medical Center-MD Anderson and Herman HospitalsHe was Chief of Neurology at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in Miami until 2017. Dr. Diaz is part of the Memorial Physician Group and is Medical Director for the Memorial Neurology Satellite Clinics. He cares for patients in the Midtown, Aventura, Hollywood, Pembroke Pines offices and various Memorial hospitals. Dr. Diaz is also on faculty at the Florida international University and Florida Atlantic University schools of medicine.
