ABOUT GEORGE CLARKE

Currently pursuing a BSc in Economics, Finance and Data Science at Imperial College London, I am keen to use data-driven solutions to solve complex financial challenges. My academic experience in key areas, combined with hands-on experience in financial analysis, valuation, and algorithmic development in 5 languages (Python, R, Visual Basic, SQL and MATLAB), has equipped me with technical expertise and leadership skills essential for the world of finance. Juggling this, as well as other duties such as Competing in Kickboxing at GB Level, shows a level of discipline that makes me a unique candidate.I’ve had the opportunity to work on several real-world financial projects of high magnitude, collaborating with professionals in roles such as developing predictive models and conducting in-depth market analysis. My proficiency in the languages above and Excel has allowed me to create custom financial algorithms, build insightful models, and deliver comprehensive reports to both technical and non-technical audiences.Beyond the technical side, I thrive in group environments, with strong interpersonal skills and an awareness of and experience in cross-cultural dynamics that enable me to collaborate effectively. Whether leading a project myself or contributing to team efforts, I always look to achieve impactful outcomes. This is backed up by my role as an A-Level Economics Teacher in 2022-23, as my pupils achieved over 70% more A*-A grades than the previous year.
