ABOUT GEORGE BANCROFT

I have over 35 years’ experience in all aspects of land seismic acquisition. With my very strong Geophysical, Operational and HSE background I can either run all aspects of your land based seismic projects from Survey Design and Contract Preparation to Close Down without assistance (e.g. Shell Libya 2005-08; Salamander Thailand 2008-11 and Shell Qatar 2012-13) or alternatively I possess enough current hands-on experience to thoroughly QC the day to day aspects of your seismic operation.(e.g. PetroManas Albania 2013, Shell Brazil 2011-12) I have demonstrated wide-ranging knowledge of the virtually all of the support roles for seismic operations having put in place and run EIA, UXO, Permitting, Archaeological, Mountaineering support, Explosives supply and storage and Line clearance and Line restoration contracts.(e.g. Shell Libya 2005-08, Tullow Kenya 2013-14) In an office-based role I have presented at Partner and Board level and liaised at Provincial and National Government level to ensure compliance and communication for my seismic projects.(e.g. Cairn Bangladesh 2004-05; Salamander Thailand 2008-11) I have a successful record of taking sole responsibility for and then delivering complex projects on time, on budget and safely with the best technical standards allowable under the difficult circumstances encountered, being prepared to move from a town to field-based role to ensure operational success (Shell Libya 2005-08, Salamander Thailand 2008-11, Tullow Kenya 2013-14) I have wide-ranging HSE experience having worked on assignments as both a crew-based HSE officer and a Client HSE QC; I am NEBOSH qualified and have conducted HSE audits in lead auditor, team-leader and report-writer roles as required. I have experience writing, reviewing and implementing Operational HSE plans and associated documentation. As a Manager I have conducted mentoring and development of supervised staff.(PDO Tullow Kenya 2013-14 and especially Ghana 20••••19)
