ABOUT GEOFFREY NORRIS
With over 10 years of experience in neuroimmunology, I am passionate about understanding the interactions between the nervous and immune systems, with publications examining these in homeostasis and disease. As a Senior Scientist at Sound Biologics I am currently developing preclinical therapeutics leveraging brain-targeted monoclonal antibodies for treatment in Alzheimer\'s, Parkinson\'s and other neurodegenerative disorders.My research combines microscopy, molecular biology, flow cytometry, and mouse models to elucidate how viral infection triggers neuronal and glial cell death, and how the release of alarmins modulates the inflammatory response and the outcome of infection. I have published multiple papers in prestigious journals, such as the Journal of Experimental Medicine, and have presented my findings at national and international conferences. I am also committed to mentoring and collaborating with other researchers in the field, and to advancing the knowledge and applications of neuroimmunology.
